TCT decided to implement a drinking water project in the villages of the Nagai District, with extreme water shortage. TCT’s partners, Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd, Theosophical Order of Service (TOS) and Grundfos Pump volunteered to be part of the project.

The District administration approved the project for four villages. Three Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants were installed in the villages of Kuttinandiyur, Chandrapadi and Nambiyar Nagar. Water committees were formed and local girls were selected and trained to operate the plants.

On 29.09.2005, at a well attended function at the Theosophical Society, TCT received three RO plants to be installed and maintained in the villages of Nagai. Later Nagore Pattinacherry was chosen as an additional site.
