| The National Abilympics Association of India (NAAI) chose TCT to organize Sub-Regional Abilympics for four discricts. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Abilympics is an event to showcase the vocational skills of disabled persons. Winners in the events at the Sub-Regional level participate in the Regional Level. The winners from that participate at the National Level and then the winners from that go on to participate in the International Abilympics. The Sub-Regional Abilympics organized by TCT was in preparation for the International event to be held in 2007 in Shizouka, Japan. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A total of 101 disabled persons participated in twenty one events. Thirty winners participated at the Regional Abilympics meet at Chennai, organized by Vidya Sagar. Three from TCT's participants have been selected to go on to the National Abilympics. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This two-day event was successfully managed, thanks to the help provided by Vidya Sagar, Chennai, local support by the WORTH Trust, and the excellent venue facilities provided by the Vellore Institute of Technology.
